Welcome to our Weekend Learning Centre!
For Ages 16 Months to Grade 12
My First Learning Centre is an in-person learning community offering weekend enrichment programs for students of all ages. We provide a warm, supportive, and engaging environment where students can explore, learn, and build essential skills through hands-on, meaningful activities.
Whether your child is beginning their early learning journey or seeking additional academic support, our weekend classes are designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.
Our In-Person Programs
Homework Club
(Grade 1 – 8)
Offers personalized learning in a small-group setting with certified Montessori and/or Ontario Certified Teachers, guiding students through school assignments while strengthening study habits and building confidence.
This support also relieves parents of the daily burden of managing homework, providing peace of mind that their child is getting the help they need.
Guided Pods
(Age 4 Years – Grade 6)
Customized small-group classes designed for 3 to 7 students, where families set the focus and a dedicated teacher creates personalized, meaningful lessons.
Flexible, engaging, and tailored to your child’s needs, perfect for homeschool pods, co-ops, or microschools.
Montessori & Me
(Ages 18 Months – 6 Years)
A joyful early learning experience designed for young explorers (Ages 18 Months – 6 Years Old) and their caregivers .
Together, you’ll discover the Montessori approach through interactive activities that nurture independence, curiosity, and connection.
STEAM Innovators
(Grade 1 – 12)
Offers in-person, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning experiences designed to spark curiosity and ignite a passion for discovery.
Each session focuses on a specific STEAM skill, concept, or exploratory activity, allowing students to experiment, create, and grow in a fun, interactive environment.
1:1 Tutoring
(Grade 1 – 12)
Offers personalized, private sessions led by certified Montessori and/or Ontario Certified teachers.
Each program is tailored to your child’s needs, supplementing their academic plan and focusing on all subject areas to support their natural learning progression.
Bilingual Studies
(Grade 1 – 12)
Offers engaging French and Spanish lessons for all students—beginners, non-native speakers, and those in language-immersion programs—available as 1:1 sessions or in small groups.
Through vocabulary building, comprehension exercises, and conversation practice, students of all levels grow confidence and fluency, with this program being especially perfect for language-immersion learners.
Literacy Club
(Age 4 Years – Grade 6)
Helps students build strong language skills in a fun, interactive setting.
Following a tailored curriculum, children expand vocabulary, improve grammar, strengthen reading and writing, and gain confidence in speaking and communication.
Confidence to Lead
(Grade 4 – 12)
Empowers students with the skills to speak up, take initiative, and lead with clarity.
Through guided activities, real-world practice, and mentorship, children build confidence, communication skills, and a positive leadership mindset.
